QuestionI am an eighteen year old girl and I am 5'8" tall and I weigh 161 pounds. I dont think i am overweight but i really want to lose 10 more pounds. I have already lost 10 pounds since the beginning of february by running, walking and swimming. I am now finding it hard to lose the last 10 pounds. Would it be safe to take diet pills and can i buy diet pills without a prescription? I though about making myself throw up but i cant do that and i really need to lose the weight by the beginning of may. Could you suggest a way that i can do this?
AnswerHello ashaya,
Nice job you've done, losing 10 pounds by exercising more!
No, it's not safe to throw up or to take diet pills. It's also never necessary to lose weight immediately, no matter how much you feel that is the case right now. A healthy rate of weight loss is just about one pound a week.
My advice is to take your time and focus on healthy eating. My plate.gov has lots of helpful guidelines. When you learn to eat healthy you won't have to keep going on diets for the rest of your life!
