QuestionHi, I have a quick question about my diet.
I am a 5'3 25 yr old male and weigh about 105lbs. I have done a BMI calculation online using my measurements and believe it is about 9.5% taken from an online calculator.
I work out regularly and have 2% milk and lunch after my workouts (within 30 mins). I have 4 cups of milk and lunch that's usually about 18g of protein, and have supper about 3 hrs after that with a small meal after supper. I time my workout like this so that I can get protein from more natural sources (at least natural in my opinion) rather then get it in powder form from a supplement.
First of all, is what I'm doing the best thing to do? I have been underweight for a while, so I'm trying to put muscle on.
Secondly, for about the entire day; if I were to look in the mirror it would look like I have a little gut because my stomach is out so much. I do have a thin body type and don't look that way when I wake up, so I do believe it is because of the food that I eat after I wake up. Do you have some suggestions on what I can do to continue to eat healthy and not look like I have a big gut throughout the day?
Thanks a lot for your help. Also, If you have any questions for me about my diet or anything else in order to give me a better response, please feel free to do so.
Thanks again for all your help, I really appreciate it. :)
AnswerHi there Josh, I'm afraid I'm a psychologist so no a real expert on diet, so you may like to ask anohter expert....but I will give you a few or my thoughts in case they're relevent in any way.
One thing people often forget is how much hey drink and people can be very thin but have a tummy from drinking. IN addition, it could also be that you have a slightly distorted body image... if you're interested in that you might like to read more about it http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/distorted-body-image.html
good luck
