QuestionI am 6'2 270ibs (was 295ibs and my goal is 235ibs) and a meso-endo body type very strong and extremely athletic etc (think defensive lineman). I am having a hell of a time losing body fat which I estimate is around 28-30%. I exercise 5 times a week burning 700 calories each of those 5 nights (I use a polar heart rate monitor to measure). 85% of my exercise is cardio in one form or another the other 15% is weight lifting. I have no idea what I should be doing diet wise for my body type and/or consumed calories. What reccomendations can you give me? Do you have a diet plan I can follow to get the results I'm looking for?
AnswerHi Andrew,
Thanks for your great question.
In my personal opinion, weight loss is 80% about what you eat. Exercise is important but it plays a much smaller role. This is why people who work out but eat fast food and junk food all the time continue to remain overweight.
The key is to cut out processed foods from your diet and focus on eating whole foods.
However, it's definitely a process not a procedure when it comes to changing your diet so I can't tell you everything you need to know in this short space here. Luckily though, we've written down a complete guide for losing weight and dietary changes and you can get access to it for free in the newsletter at www.AuthenticHealthCoach.com
I hope that helps!
Wishing you wellness,
Tom
