hi im 17 and im 280 6,0 ft i really want to lose weight ive bein big all my life and i wanna change but i dont know how i just need some advice

Shane, you might as well learn the right way to lose weight and stay healthy at 17 than start on the long "diet" road that has delivered most of my readers to a very obese body after years of "dieting".

First off, you are big, 6' tall requires some pounds--I would estimate w/ out knowing more about you that around 200-225 would be an ideal weight if you are muscular.

If you are getting picked on because of your weight--it's their problem--they are being mean but that isn't a reason to make yourself unhealthy--either by eating too much unhealthy foods or trying to starve to lose weight--neither are ideal.

You need to realize that you have some unhealthy habits and you need to stop those, one at a time and transition your lifestyle to one that promotes better health, fitness and figure!

Do you drink soft drinks? STOP and drink only water!

Do you eat fast food? STOP and make a healthy sandwich at home, eat more raw fruit and vegetables.

Do you exercise? Turn off the computer, the video games and the TV and get moving! Go for a walk or a jog in a safe area. Join a sports team or gym and take the group fitness classes!

Get into healthy living and it will get into you!
