stress as cause of gaining weight

Question
i just wanna verify if it's true that stress can cause for one to gain weight? i work in a callcenter and most of the time we do graveyard shifts and since i worked here i keep on gaining weight although my colleagues are not experiencing the same problem and in fact some are losing weight. i don't eat much just regular meal. is it because my metabolism is slower than the others? if it is so, could you possibly do something about it and how? I've already come across a lot of articles about this subject and some are having contrasting ideas.. any help please? will appreciate it..

Answer
stress can set up the environment to gain weight and make your body more likely to gain, but if you are eating a 100% healthy diet and getting regular exercise, and drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day, stress in and of itself won't but weight on.

You can take supplements w/ chromium picolinate, those have shown to help boost metabolism, but I don't use it, not sure if it really works. I KNOW exercise boosts your metabolism and that lean muscle mass burns fat more efficiently than anything so lift weights!!
