Questioni've been working out for quite some time now and lost some of my fat. im not really obese but couldnt find a catagory that i can ask this. im like a soft, untonned kinda person. but i've notice that my left side of my chest is fatter than my right. i am right handed and i think my right is my dominate side. can this be the reason that my left side has more fat. im desperatly tryin to lose this embarrasing chest fat since im only 14 so i want to get rid of it a.s.a.p! i regularly do pushups and use weights and run about 4mile at 4mph every other days. so shuld i just keep this up and the fat side will slim down?? please please help me!!!!!!!!!!!
AnswerHi Louie,
First of all, may I start by saying, 'Don't Worry!'
You're 14 and your body is still growing. Unfortunately, one side is growing much quicker than the other. This is absolutely normal.
I really dont think push-ups will help as you will be strengthening the muscles under the chest and the larger side will only appear larger.
Instead try lying on your back and lifting a light weight 2lbs/1kg to 4lbs/2kg on the side that is flatter as this will balance it out.
The 'fat' side will automatically slim down as you start growing taller.
Teen-hood is such an awkward stage and this is extremely common amongst your girls too.
Many will never tell you but none of our breasts are the same size.
The women/girls with breasts exactly aligned and the same shape and size are usually implants.
I hope this helps Louie. If there's anything more that concerns you, please feel free to ask a follow up question.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Jansz
