QuestionHi im Brittnee my height is about 5'6 and i weight about 170 and im 16 ive had alot of trouble over the years when gaining weight ive joined the gym but know progress how can a teen my age feel more confident and lose weight ?
AnswerHI Brittnee, remember that your teen years are years when you body is changing a lot and it's a time when most young girls feel very insecure about their bodies. It's also a very bad time to diet - and if you want more about this you can go to : http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com and look at the diet myths Navbar. So it's a time to be patient and to just maintain a healthy lifestyle. So going to the gym is good, but remember to change your exercise routine now again so as to prevent muscle confusion (see http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/perfect-workout.html).
Some of the other things to try it to watch how much soda you drink because it's very high in calories.
Also, use the 'act as if' principle to gain more self-confidence. In other words, whenever you're feeling insecure just ask yourself: "How would I hold my body if I felt really confident right now?" What look would people see in my eyes? How would I walk? How would I talk? What kind of thoughts would I be having and then change your body posture etc to mirror that and you'll be absolutely amazed at how powerful this is.
Good luck
