Question"I'm 5'4, and weigh 235lbs, and I'm trying to lose 10lbs in 4 weeks. Will it possible if I could lose more in 4 weeks if I work out 2 hours a day, and eat small portions at breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a snack, and drink alot of water and milk. i don't know my fat percentage so should I go see a doctor to find out what it is or is there a way I can find out without going? How much weight do you think I can lose in 4 weeks on this plan to healthier life?"
AnswerHi Tasha, whilst losing 10 pounds in 4 weeks is not an unrealistic goal - working out for 2 hours a day sounds excessive. And no matter what else, I would strongly suggest you first see your doctor for a check up before suddenly starting with a 2 hour a day exercise regime. In addition, unless you are already fairly fit, I'd strongly suggest that instead of focussing on the next 4 weeks only, you focus on a healthy plan for life which is includes slowly but steadily building up your fitness levels because the benefits of exercise are enormous is you want a healthier life. http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/benefits-of-exercise.html
You speak about 'this plan to helthier life' well just remember that life isn't just about the next 4 weeks. As for what your percentage body fat is - I can give you an estimation of that if you go to http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/body-fat-calculation-and-health.html . You will need a tape measure and a pencil to write down your measurements to send to me. However, it's highly unlikely even if you lose ten pounds in 4 weeks that it will make any noticeable difference to your percentage body fat.
I'm a psychologist and not a dietician, so I don't want to comment on your actual eating plan as that is not my area of exerptise. But remember that any weight that you lose too quickly is bound to come back on again (see http://www.ditch-dets-live-light.com/regaining-weight.hmtl for more about this). I'd strongly advocate that you lose weight steadily and slowly so that you can keep it off for life.
Kind regards Cari
