As the subject implies.
I am rather overweight for my age.
14-female-224 lbs. (looks like 150 lbs. in person though)
5'5"
This of course makes me VERY self conscious of my body.
Especially my arms(elbow and up, i never have visible)
thighs(they seem pretty huge to me)
and my stomach.
I'm worried as to how i will be treated in a christian, preppy, super-skinny, almost all blondes type high school, where they are not known for their poilteness to those whom are different.
I also have ASTHMA.
but have no diabetes, or any other health condition.
Any suggestions as to what to do to lose weight?i don't mind giving up junk food or soda, but i only have a problem with excercising in public, since the neighbor hood teens(older) tend to tease...HARSHLY. But i usually retort them, but feel sad later.D:
i have a wii fit, but it doesnt seem like it would ACTUALLY work.
Any diet ideas also?
i wanna mostly get rid of, as i said before, 1.)ARM FLAB 2.)STOMACH FAT 3.)my thunder thighs! I wanna lose as much as i can between now and october!!! Because in october i am havin a Quinceanera and i wanna look at least DECENT in my strapless dress...T~T

Hello.
You have mentioned so many issues. First, you must include your parents/caregivers in your dilemma, as they are the forefront of your assistance. They purchase your food, and can assist and are responsible for your care. For self-esteem issues, you can keep a journal of good things that happen to you...awards from school, good grades, etc. Use this as a self-esteem builder.
Exercising can be as simple as taking a nice long walk with your friends from school. Walking is one of the best exercises for you. Your goal can be about 3-4 miles a day. That would be about a 45 minute to an hour walk.
Dealing with rude people is something we all have to learn. Your weight is not an issue on that subject.
I know of people who have the wii fit and love it. They say it makes them smile and be more active than normal.
I don't believe in diets. I believe in a healthy lifestyle to include healthy food, healthy activity and healthy friends. This way you will have a healthy frame of mind and healthy journey in life. Starting now, your goal can be to lose about 2 pounds per week. By October you should be able to lose about 64 pounds. Your body will change as you walk and eat healthy, just in time for your October celebration. Eat fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and fresh meat. Drink lots of water, avoid sodium filled foods, avoid soft drinks, and avoid sweets. Ask your parents for the support you need. Hope that helps. Good luck to you.
