Hi,
I turned 14 years old 2 months ago. And I am only 5ft and weigh around 14 stone. My family are heavy all except my mum and dad. I was fine up until around 11 years old. I suddenly started putting weight on continusuly. No matter how much I try to stop snacking I cant! I've starved myself beffore tis affecting my life that much. I wont go to school, go out and socialize or antyhing. I stay with my gran because my mother is a drug addict and my father passed away. I feel as if I'm not good enough for my family. I won't speak to them about it because i try and forget about my weight. I see thin attractive girls, and I feel the need to loose stones in a day. And I have self-harmed. Ive tried diets, dieticions and all sorts with no hope. What can I do please, this is really affecting my life!

At age 14 the only way you can have access to food, is through your gran. You may want to ask her to only buy healthy food, such as fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, etc. Eating "water" foods can help you feel better. We are 65% water and need water and water foods. Maybe write a list of every bite you take, and how you feel emotionally when you eat. With all the things you are going through, it would help you if you had someone like a counselor to speak to, to share your sadness and your loss of family support. Share this with your gran. In a diary, you could write your accomplishments. Think of all the things to be thankful for in your life. Start a journal of Great Changes Towards Wellness. It is better to focus on being healthy, body-mind-and spirit. Sometimes eating is a way to "filling a void" in life. Finding ways to fill the void with healthy activities, studying in school, being with positive people and staying away from drugs is a way to help yourself find confidence and self-esteem. Diets don't work. It is wiser to be on a healthy lifestyle plan for the rest of your life. "I am in the process of making healthy choices. I am learning to love myself more and more every day, in a healthy way."  Taking about 4000 to 6000 steps a day can help you work towards an active lifestyle.
