QuestionHello my name is Sarai, am 17 years old. I've always been obese, though there was this time where i was 189 when i was 16. I lost all that weight till i got to 172 and lasted like that for 4 months then rapidly starting to increase my weight. I need help, and i really want to lose weight. I had started playing softball and thats what helped me lose all the weight but then this year it wasnt really helping me lose weight. It has gotten harder for me to lose weight actually. and a month ago i got hurt playing softball and now i have a partial tear in my meniscis and a complete tear of my ACL. so lately i havent been doing exercise. right now i weigh 185, and i feel awful. My body bothers me, am to heavy for myself. i want to lose weight but i cant jog or jump and i have to be careful with my knee, until surgery. i want to lose weight before my surgery bcuhs after that i have to wait 2 months to start walking normally and 6 months to start running. and I want to weigh 150 or 145 for my Senior Graduation. am still in the 10 and all, but time flys by. I need your help ! What should i do ?
AnswerHi Sarai - it sounds like you know that exercise is the way you can lose weight healthily. I'm wondering if you've considered something like swimming which is an exercise you can do because it's non-load bearing. Also exercise machines that are low impact like an elliptical machine might be also something you could consider.
Kind regards
