How Long Can Breast Milk Sit
Breast milk can be stored at room temperature (77°F or below) for up to 4 hours. It can be refrigerated for up to 4 days, and frozen for up to 6 months.
When thawing frozen breast milk, it is best to do so slowly in the refrigerator or under cool running water. Do not microwave breast milk, as this can destroy some of the nutrients.
Once thawed, breast milk can be used immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Do not refreeze breast milk that has been thawed.
