QuestionQUESTION: i am following all orders, but i am losing weight very slowly. 2 lbs. a wk. is this 'normal'. i am very discouraged. i thought the weight would fall off
ANSWER: Jennifer,
It is not typical in my experience to have a weight loss this small. You will need fairly detailed follow up to trouble shoot this issue, and this can only be done well in person, with your surgeon and the program.
Best of luck to you!

QUESTION: i spoke to my doc he said it is normal. now i am really concerned
AnswerJennifer,
In my experience, 2 pounds per week is a really good pace in the long run, but it is a bit slow at the beginning (in the first month). I suggest you ask your surgeon to map out in greater detail how much weight you may lose, on what time course, assuming you are an average patient in his/her practice.
I hope this provides some reassurance.
