Can Hair Loss Be Prevented?

There is no guaranteed way to prevent hair loss from radiation therapy, but there are a few things you can do to reduce your risk:

- Protect your hair. Avoid using harsh chemicals or heat styling products on your hair during radiation therapy.

- Eat a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, and protein can help to keep your hair healthy and strong.

Will My Hair Grow Back?

In most cases, hair loss from radiation therapy is temporary. Your hair will usually start to grow back within a few months after your treatment ends. However, your hair may be thinner or a different color than it was before.
