At Cederquist Medical Wellness Center, our program participants have learned to take hold of their lives. They have learned new ways of eating, moving and living. They’ve set their own definitions for success, and their quality of life improves immensely as they set and reach new benchmarks for satisfaction.
Improved my Self-Image
I heard about Dr. Cederquist’s program from a friend, and I wanted to lose some of the belly weight that I had gained. I lost 16 pounds in about 10 weeks, and I think the best parts of the program are the great staff, the fact that it’s a reasonable plan, and that I was not hungry while following it.
The hardest part was the first few weeks when I had to learn the program. I had tried weight watchers before, and the biggest things I learned was to eat more protein and how not to starve. I eat more now and I have actually lost weight. I know I’ll be able to maintain the weight loss, because it’s easy to stick with, and I enjoy the foods I’m eating.
I feel better about my self-image and I finally fit into my clothes again!

A Bit of a Finicky Eater
A serious back condition reached its all-time worst, and I called my doctor, thinking I needed surgery. At the same time, I asked him about a nutritionist that was here in Naples, to help me eat the right way to lose weight. I have been overweight, no—they call it “obese”—for many years and I had curtailed any exercise because of my back pain.
I met with Dr. Cederquist, and had several blood tests done and started with a nutritionist within a couple of weeks. I felt like they have an expedited process, and she adjusted my medications more perfectly, and although I have just begun this journey, I have had wonderful results and credit most of it to the caring and informative staff at Cederquist Medical Wellness Center.
I have always been a very finicky eater and I anticipated this adjustment in my eating pattern would be very difficult. However, I have been offered various replacement options for those things that I prefer not to eat, and I have learned and will continue to accept more nutritious foods. I am definitely motivated by the staff to embrace my new way of life.
I have lost 14.5 pounds in 5 weeks. I have been traveling during lots of that time frame, and I enjoy how easy it is to make the right choices, even in restaurants and at home. I snack through the day and this keeps me satisfied. I look forward to achieving my weight loss goal and maintaining it.

Weight Loss Success, and a New Job
My doctor felt that my physical condition was good except for my weight and recommended that I see Dr. Cederquist. I had been experiencing some health problems, such as difficulty moving around, but the worst was the shock of a heart attack at 47 years of age. To date I am still on the program and have lost 53 pounds. The thing I like best about the program was the one-on-one discussion with the nutritionist who is completely attentive to my weight loss issues and successes.
The hardest part of losing weight was cutting back on sweet fruits, which are higher in carbohydrates. I had tried Weight Watchers before and wasn’t successful. I have learned many things from the program, first of all that weight loss can be successful. I’ve also realized that there are other avenues and outlets besides eating, and that I don’t have to eat until I’m really full.
I feel that I will be able to maintain this weight loss because I have made lifestyle changes that I’m going to stick with. I will not stop this program yet, it took me 50 years to develop bad habits, and I need time and support to replace them with good ones.
Wow! There are so many benefits to losing the weight. I have more energy, my self-esteem has improved, along with my self-confidence. I applied for and got a new job position, and I have generally more happiness and health!

It's Doctors and Nutritionists
Each time I would visit my cardiologist’s office, I would have put on extra pounds. Each time he told me I needed to lose weight, and I would tell him I’d try. This last time he insisted that I do something about the situation and suggested Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig as examples. I told him I’d been there and done that and it didn’t work for me.
Then he suggested your program. He explained to me that it was doctors and nutritionists. Bingo! I found what I had given up looking for.
I needed to lose 90 pounds, and I was anxious to get started. I was sick of being sick. It wasn’t as much the health problems I had as the health problems that were going to be ahead of me if I didn’t change the course on my body weight. I’ve lost 40 pounds in 5 months. I’m about half way on my weight loss. This change is not a short term solution or a quick fix.
There are a number of things that I appreciate about your program. You value my time. My appointments happen according to schedule so I can get back to work. All of your staff are friendly and courteous. I like being provided reading material for between visits to educate me in the program.
I am involved a lot with the public, and management. Healthy, fit people command more respect. It’s easier to handle daily stress when you are fit. I now understand how my metabolism works and what I need to eat and when. The benefits of losing the weight have been gaining back a quality of life that had been lost.

Not Another Diet
For several years I had heard great things about Dr. Cederquist from patients and friends. However, I was dealing with multiple health problems, including high blood pressure, light-headedness, and chronic digestive problems, therefore I wrongly felt that losing weight was not a priority.
Since starting on Dr. Cederquist’s program 12 weeks ago I have lost 15 pounds. What I like about this program is the guidance and direction given to you by the staff. Once I adjusted to the change it was going to make in my daily routine, I appreciated the structure of the diet and how easy it was to stay on it.
The hardest part of the losing the weight for me was the adjustment in my thoughts about protein. I have been on every diet known to mankind!
All they meant to me was “DIET” – something to make me look thin – something temporary until I got to my goal weight.

I Lost Weight Eating Food I Enjoy
My wife recommended that I stop in to learn about your program, and I am so very glad I did.
I have had problems all of my life with controlling my weight. I take pounds off and put them right back on. I had to learn how to eat properly and not just try to starve myself to lose weight. I was interested in a controlled program that would be monitored weekly and monthly.
I lost about 24 pounds on the program that the Cederquist staff put together for me. I am a very fussy eater and do not eat many foods that are normally recommended for diets. The staff was able to tailor a program for me that included the foods that I like to eat.
The thing that I enjoyed most about the program was that I could have my snacks, I could eat sweets of the right kind, and I enjoy the various beverages and snack bars that are available as options on the program.
The hardest part of losing weight for me is that I am used to eating in between meals and this program actually encourages that. I lost the weight in about 5 months and that includes 5 weeks up north on vacation! I was able to stay with the program while I was away. I have to watch what I eat and I have watch that I don’t go back to old bad habits. I weigh myself weekly, not daily, and if I put a few pounds back on again like I did over the holiday season, I go back to the program that helped me lose the weight.
I exercise 3 times per week. I walk as much as I can and drink plenty of water and decaf diet soft drinks in addition to decaf iced tea and coffee.
I feel better, have more energy, and like the way I look.

I Look Better, Feel Better, and I Feel Fit!
My friend told me about the Cederquist Program, and I hated being the size 12 I was, because I felt so ucky. I lost 21 pounds over the course of 9 months. I love maintaining my weight, and feel that because I lost slower, my body was able to adjust to the change, instead of immediately cycling back up again like it has before.
The most challenging part of the program was eating enough! I learned that I had become a professional 'dieter' and was restricted my body on what it needed most to lose weight - lean protein.
The best benefits of losing the weight are that I look better, I feel better, and I feel fit. My daughter has shadowed me on the program and she has lost 40 pounds herself!
