Brittany’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I was trying on wedding dresses and realized I could not zip up any of them.
What made you decide to lose weight?
After the wedding, I looked at the photos and just started crying. I could not believe that was me in the pictures.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Portion control and regular exercise.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Getting in the workouts. There were so many days when I just didn’t want to go to the gym but I knew I needed to do it for myself.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I would say within a few weeks I felt better and started to notice the scale slowly going down.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
1 year and 3 months.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
Regular exercise. I got involved in classes at my gym and love them. Also, portion control. I really pay attention to what I eat.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I feel so much better about myself. On my honeymoon, I would not wear a bathing suit. On my 1 year anniversary, I wore a bikini and felt great in it. I feel like I can do anything!

Weight loss tip #1:
Read the ingredients. Make sure you know what you are putting in your body.
Weight loss tip #2:
Portion Control. Take the time to measure out the correct portions.
Weight loss tip #3:
Plan ahead. Get your meals ready the day before so you don’t eat something bad out of convenience. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Weight loss tip #4:
Get moving. Go for a walk, jog, or use a workout DVD. Whatever it is just get your heart rate up.
Weight loss tip #5:
Everyday is a fresh start. Do not get down on yourself because of what you didn’t do yesterday. Start fresh everyday and know that you deserve to be happy and feel good about your body!
Brittany’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Breakfast:
1 cup Kashi Go-Lean crunch with blueberries.
Lunch:
Turkey on wheat with fat free cheese and salad.
Dinner:
Grilled chicken, brown rice and lots of veggies.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruit and veggies. Also nuts and wheat bread with natural peanut butter.

Weight Training:
I do a strength training class at my gym on Tuesday and Thursday.
Cardiovascular:
I have really developed a love for running. I try to run 3-5 miles 2 times a week with one long run of 8-10 miles per week. I also enjoy the elliptical and walks with my dog.
