James’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
As a teenager I was always skinny and could eat anything without worrying about gaining weight, however this trend could not continue as I moved into my 20’s I started to gain weight I and started to become unhappy with the way I looked.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I failed a medical examination for the job of Police Community Support Officer as I was overweight. After passing the interview and other steps, I was angry with myself; so decided to lose the weight!
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I went from eating for no reason, to only eating when I was actually hungry. I also went from very little exercise to at least an hour a day.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
I found eating less a real problem, It was really hard not giving into temptation.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
As I had weight to lose, I started to see changes in the first few weeks.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I managed to lose the weight in about 6 months.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I have managed to maintain this weight for at least 2 years now.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
Apart from retaking and passing the medical examination and becoming a PCSO, I feel much more healthy and happy.
How did ShapeFit help you reach your weight loss goals?
I have been a casual reader of ShapeFit but reading other people’s weight loss success stories inspired me.

Breakfast:
Cereal.
Lunch:

Pasta with some type of meat.

Plenty of orange juice and crackers!

Weight Training:
45 minutes a day using dumbbells mainly.
Cardiovascular:
I do cardio for 1 hour a day.
