Christy’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I had to lay down to zip up my pants! The weight creeped up on me and I didn’t even see it.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I felt awful and unattractive.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Eating and activity.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Food! It sure is hard to lose weight when everyone around me didn’t want to or need to lose weight.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I first started to see results after about 30-45 days.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
1 year.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’m still trying to lose 15-20 more pounds. I started running this year. To keep me motivated, I have entered various 5K and 8K races. I hope to complete a full marathon next year.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
My life has changed in many ways. People come to me all the time and ask me about becoming healthy. Which diets to follow, how to start exercising, etc. My life has also changed based on my eating habits. I think twice about food. Sometimes I do break my healthy diet but I often think twice about it.

I just started ShapeFit and cant wait to lose my last few pounds with the website.

Breakfast:
String cheese, 1/2 cup of skim milk and 1/2 cup of oatmeal.
Lunch:
Salad with grilled chicken breast with light dressing.
Dinner:
A white fish with brown rice and salad.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
String cheese, strawberries, raspberries, skim milk, vegetables.

Weight Training:
P90X! P90X is the best for strength training. Many of us fear weight training because we are afraid we are doing it wrong. P90X helped me understand proper moves and which day to complete which exercises.
Cardiovascular:
Running. Running takes a lot of mental strength. Total will power does not occur overnight. Running takes practice and patience. Some runs are better than others.
