Daniel’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I looked at my life and how young I am. I realized I was missing out on so much in life being overweight. I never liked to shop or do anything because of the depression the weight had brought on.
What made you decide to lose weight?
When I lost my friend to obesity issues, I decided that I needed to change my life quickly before I died young. I always put my needs last and put everyone before me. I decided to do something for myself for once.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I sacrificed all of the foods and beverages I loved for my weight loss journey. I changed everything in my life. I never saw it as a diet, since diets don’t last too long. I saw it as a lifestyle change.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
I’m living in a household where no one eats or drinks anything else. I basically had to support myself and fend for myself.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It took a few months before I actually started noticing that I was losing inches as my clothes were getting bigger on me.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me 12 months, with no gym membership (as I couldn’t afford it financially at the time) and just watching what I was eating and implementing cardio into my daily life like walking and Zumba.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’ve maintained it for about 3 months now and I just continue to eat healthy, do cardio, and go to the gym.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I’m the happiest person that I could ever be. I love shopping for clothes, and now I am inspiring people in my community to get healthy.

Brown rice, steamed veggies and either fish, chicken, or pork tenderloin.

100 calorie snack packs, Special K crackers, Laughing Cow cream cheese.

Weight Training:
I do the kettlebells for 30-45 minutes every couple of days.

I walk and use the elliptical machine, exercise bike, or Zumba 5 days a week.
