Jerilyn’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I’ve never been happy with my weight. I’ve never even been thin a day in my life, including childhood.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I just decided one day that I wasn’t going to deal with it anymore. I decided that I could do it and that I didn’t need a gym buddy or anybody else to do it with me. I was doing it for me.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I quit trying to diet. I decided that I was going to eat what I wanted, but in moderation. If I wanted a cheeseburger, I’d eat half of one, or eat a normal one. I workout a lot (5-7 days a week) and I push myself.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Finding the right mindset.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It’s still hard for me to actually see anything but I think April was really the first time that anybody else noticed.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It has taken me approximately 8 months thus far.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’ve been doing this for 8 months and I do it with portion control and exercise.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I can buy smaller things. I can run, oh my God, I love to run. I can run a 5k in 37 minutes. Running has become my new favorite hobby.

Jerilyn’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Breakfast:
Fresh fruit, water, yogurt.
Lunch:
1 slice of wheat bread, turkey, cheese, lettuce tomato and mayo. Fruit or a salad. Sometimes soup. Water.
Dinner:
Chicken, veggies, water or a diet Dr. Pepper.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruit, yogurt, pretzels.
Jerilyn’s Weight Loss Workouts!
Weight Training:
Just a general use of weight machines, nothing too fancy. Biceps, triceps, lats, deltoids, legs. A little bit of everything.
Cardiovascular:
I started out on the elliptical. The first time I did it, I couldn’t even do 30 seconds. I forced myself into working up to 45 minutes by watching Grey’s Anatomy on my iPod and covering up the time. Now I enjoy running. Running is my favorite thing to do and I do it indoors or out. I probably run an average of 9-10 miles a week now.
