When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I had to buy my first pair of pants at the plus size store.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I wanted to be happy again and enjoy activities with my family and friends.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I changed what I eat, how much I eat and how many times a day I eat. I also added exercise to my routine which has made a huge difference in my energy levels.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Reprogramming myself to live a healthy lifestyle and to enjoy doing it. This was a life changing experience for me not just a diet.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I noticed a change within 3 weeks. I just stared feeling better and had more energy.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I started my weight loss journey on 7/20/2009; so it has been 10 months as of 5/20/2010.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
Right now I’m still trying to lose a few more pounds. But everyday I wake up happy and full of energy and that feeling is what keeps me going.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I love to shop; I love being able to walk into any store and buy whatever makes me feel sexy and good about myself. I am enjoying time with my family doing outdoor activities that I would never do before.
