Monique’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
After my mom passed away, I realized that I was getting bigger.

What made you decide to lose weight?
A 3 month body transformation contest. I went from 148 pounds to 128 pounds in 3 months and won the contest but gained 10 pounds back within a year. I then decided to do a figure show and I went from 138 pounds to 115 pounds.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Eating every 3 to 4 hours of clean food only such as egg whites, oatmeal , chicken, fish sweet potatoes and green vegetables. I never cheated once.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
Fitting the training into my busy schedule.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
Within a month I started to see a difference in my body.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
About 4 months for fat loss and muscle gain.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I keep eating clean and continue my exercise routine. I have a picture from one of the figure shows in the kitchen it keeps me motivated to stay on track.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I feel so much better about myself. I have more energy! My clothes look and fit great. I dropped several sizes, so I had to buy new clothes.

Weight loss tip #1:

Weight loss tip #2:
Eat on time every 3-4 hours.

Never skip a meal.

Weight loss tip #4:
Eat clean. No sauces, butter etc.

Weight loss tip #5:
Carry your food with you so you are always ready to eat.

Monique’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

Breakfast:

Lunch:
6 ounces of chicken or 6 ounces of white fish, 1/2 sweet potato, 1 cup of green vegetables.

Dinner:
6 ounces of chicken or 6 ounces of white fish, 1/2 sweet potato, 1 cup of green vegetables.

Snacks or Mini Meals:
I eat about 4 of these meals a day with no mini meals or snacks.

Monique’s Weight Loss Workouts!

Weight Training:
I weight train for 1 hour, 4 times a week.

Cardiovascular:
I do cardio 5 times a week for about 30 minutes each time.
