Neil’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
3.5 years ago. I spent 25 years being severely obese and for the last 10 years I was over 700 pounds.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I got tired of dying and finally started living.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Eating. I went from living to eat, to eating to live.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Self love. I still beat myself up mentally when I look in the mirror since I still see the 700 pound Neil. I need to learn to love myself.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I lost 90 pounds my 1st month but I had to lose 150 pounds before I could see it.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I lost 431 pounds in 2.5 years but I’m still not at where I want to be. I will always have new goals to keep me motivated.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
For over a year now. I workout 10-11 times a week and I teach an aerobics class 3 times a week. I always count calories. I was so big I have to keep a close eye on myself.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
When I was at my worse, I was almost dead. I even thought about killing myself. I will never go back to that. I LOVE being able to walk, lift weights and live life to its fullest.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I used to work in construction. I now train people and in 14 months the people I’ve helped have lost 1,600 pounds! I’m very proud of that. The best part about being healthy is not only did it save my life, it gave my son a life because he had to take care of me.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Set small goals, hit them and set new ones. Always have something to work for and BELIEVE in yourself! You are worth living for! I could go on and on.

Weight loss tip #1:
Count calories, eat berries, clean protein, plenty of veggies.

Join a support group. Get rid of people who will sabotage you.

Be physically tough because your body will hurt.

Neil’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Breakfast:
6 egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms, kale.
Lunch:
Grilled chicken, broccoli , brown rice.
Dinner:
Grilled chicken salad or turkey or tuna.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Berries, banana, nuts, apple, natural peanut butter, protein bar.
Nutritional Supplements:
Protein shakes, vitamins.
Neil’s Weight Loss Workouts!
Weight Training:
I train one body part a day and I hit that body part hard. One week I go heavy and the next week I go light with more reps. I have to be careful since I have all kinds of joint and knee problems.
Cardiovascular:
I do cardio 6 days a week. I teach an aerobics class 3 times a week called BEASTMODE!
