Traci’s Weight Loss Story!
So my story is “Life Gets In The Way!” We all say that but it does happen and it happened to me. I did not even know it was happening. I had great self-esteem, so when I looked in the mirror I did not see the fat person I had become. It was not until my youngest daughter took a picture of me with my phone that I realized what I had become. When I saw that picture and did not recognize myself, I knew I had to do something.
Exercise is the best for weight loss. By doing exercise, you are not as prone to eat as much or at least bad things because is it not worth all the work to mess it up with bad food! Give it a shot and eat healthy for 3 weeks just to see how great you feel. Then take one day and eat bad and see just how bad you feel. You will be shocked! You can eat pretty much anything but just make sure to eat treats in moderation and not all the time! Fiber and protein are your best friends. Without them, the effort will be much harder!
I worked hard exercising and now I run marathons and half marathons. I also do bike events, adventure races and now I’m training for a triathlon! Life is better than I can imagine and I know I will be around a lot longer because I have done right by my body and set a good example for my girls as well!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
It was not until my youngest daughter took a picture of me with my phone that I realized what I had become. When I saw that picture and did not recognize myself, I knew I had to do something.
What made you decide to lose weight?
Seeing that picture.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Exercise is the best thing that worked for me.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Fitting it into my busy schedule.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
About a week. I exercised very hard!
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
7 months.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
3 years. I maintain my weight loss with exercise. I worked very hard exercising and now I run marathons, I do bike events, and I’m also training for a triathlon!
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I smile even more than before!
