How much did you lose (pounds, inches, dress/pants size)?
I have lost 42 pounds so far!
When did you become unhappy with your weight (were you overweight as a child or did you gain weight as an adult)?
When I saw pictures of myself and I could not find one good photo. Buying clothes was a challenge and I started getting very moody because I was stuck at home and didn’t go anywhere.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I wanted to look good and be healthy. I also wanted to follow an active lifestyle and do more things outdoors and really enjoy nature.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I started eating healthy, counting calories and watching my portion sizes. I also started doing rigorous workouts at the gym.
What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
The most challenging things were my workouts and finding the right food to eat at the right time.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It took a while to see results. Unfortunately, I was not a regular at the gym but I did focus on my diet and the foods I ate.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me 1.5 years to lose the weight! I averaged about 1 kg a month.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and what are the most important factors for keeping it off?
Its been 4 months now. I have left the gym and stopped my workouts but I’m still very conscious about what I eat. Whenever I feel extra skin or excess weight gain, I reduce my calorie intake and become more active.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
When people compliment me and ask me for tips. I feel happy and confident seeing myself in the mirror now. I feel more active and healthy also. The fear of getting that old body back helps to keep me motivated to work on this healthy lifestyle.
How has your life changed now that you have lost weight?
I am a new person now who loves to hangout and meet new people. I am more confident and active. It feels good to know that my weight is not a hindrance any longer.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Yes! Be motivated and disciplined. Don’t cheat. Be crazy for that fabulous body. The more you’re passionate about it, the faster you will reach success. Eat healthy, workout and avoid sugar and processed food completely!

What do you do for weight training (exercises, workouts)?
During my weight loss journey I did cardio along with strength training, Zumba, aerobics and walking.
