It will always be the question, why teen obesity is getting common?, and some of people will not or can not comment on it. In the United States, teen obesity have been growing fast and parents are begin to worry about their kid reach the age 30. With common sense, the answer is right in your face. This starts with ourselves, family, our schools, and the fast food/restaurant industries.
It is time to start blaming the choices we make in our life and stop looking the other way hoping it will go away in a couple of years. Our future and children are being effect by our lifestyle and habits. So we have to do something now.
People have been making one excuse after another with reason why obesity is getting out of hand, but not thinking who is at fault. Many have claims genetics is the reason a person is overweight which a pathetic way of covering the real truth . . . Being lazy.
Everyone should take the initiative and make right choices instead of playing who is at fault. It is hard to lose the weight and everyone will have challenges, but if there is dedication and determination then that half of the battle is won.
Why are teen obesity is getting common? That question can be answered in so many ways, that the best answer is that we were taught to eat all our food on our plate and if we do not we are punish for it.
People who takes care of children/teenagers should understand how they eat and how much they can consume before preparing the meal. It has been a debate in the fast food industries of their serving size and their promotion for half price meals. The restaurants should start to think the effect they are having on people.
The fast food industries provides food that lacks in nutritional value and promote that their food is full of nutrients which is not true. Parents should plan ahead when they are going to pick up the kids. Also, they should read the Nutrition Facts and decided what to eat before going to the fast food restaurant.
By point the finger to the restaurants and fast food industries for the cause of the obesity among out teens should not be all their fault, the schools are partly blame. There are many schools that have vending machine with unhealthy process food and it is easy for them to access it. The schools should educate their students about obesity just like the teach about drugs and have sex ed classes.
As parents start to take the responsibility for their habit, it should be understood that they are the only people who can actually influence them to do the right thing by eat healthy, changing lifestyles, and doing exercise.
Teenagers that believe they know everything should understand that their parents care for them and would want the best for them. However, the teenagers have a job to figure out what they need to do to win this battle of being overweight. It will not be easy but there are a lot people behind you.
Everyone is at fault for the obesity epic that is slowly killing our teens. There are teens that already have diabetes and other health problem that they should not have at their age. A lot of people like to point the finger at the fast food restaurants and who should take the responsibility to clean this mess up; it should be everyone to take the blame for their choices. It is the fast food industries fault for promoting over size potions; it is the schools fault for not educating our kids and not having choices. Most importantly it is our faults for letting obesity get out of hand.
