There is a childhood obesity epidemic on the rise. It is considered a medical condition that is taking over the lives of children and teenagers all over the world today. You are created with your own shape and size, however our bodies can store more body fat then needed. When it gets to be too much it is labeled as obese. When measuring a child and their obesity the doctor goes by weight that is above the average for their height and age.
This problem is caused by kids eating too much and not exercising it off. If you don't burn close to what you eat you start to gain the weight. Sometimes there is a medical condition involved or even genetic. But, in most cases it comes down to eating and not burning.
Doctors have begun to notice a rise in childhood obesity because children are lacking exercise, come from low income families that don't have the time or money to make good and healthy food, genetic issues where everyone else is obese in the family, genetic and hormonal disorders and these are just a few of the uses coming up, obviously there are many more and they can't all be listed but with a little research you can find it on the internet or just ask your doctor.
Children don't see the outcomes on their bodies because they have obesity issues, physically and psychology issues are on the rise. For example1. Early menstruation cycles, and puberty

Children depend on us parents and doctors to help them. We need to make sure that they are eating properly, there are games out there for the gamers that make them move and stay active during the whole game. Schools have also started to help as well by eliminating bad lunches and pop machines and changing them for healthy food and juice and water.
There are a school out there that have banned unhealthy food all together and that includes what the parents are allowed to send as well. We need to educate our children. Sometimes they don't know where to turn to get help and think that they can't come to their parents. There are so many things that can go wrong with that so we need to maintain a healthy vocal relationship with our children.
We as parents need to see where we need to change too. Go back outside and go back to taking the kids for a trip, planting that garden and turning off the electronics. It is important that we see and remember that our children grow and raise their children the way we raised them. If that is by eating bad food and not being healthy then the kids will do the same to our grandchildren.
If we are no longer going to be lazy then neither are they. We are what we eat, so to speak. Lessen the amount our children watch TV in a day and make them play whether they like it or not. Children need to remember that we are still the boss. They have no choice in that matter at all. We need to retrain our children with limits on computers, video games and the television.
