Wouldn't it be nice if finally you could know the truth as to why you find it impossible to shed and then keep off that excess weight?? It does seem odd doesn't it that there are endless diets and exercise regimes out there, each one supposedly to be better than the rest, and an enormous and ever increasing number of pharmaceutical weight loss drugs, and still obesity is a bigger problem in the western world than ever before in history. And of course where obesity is, illness and chronic degenerative disease follow.
It's not like we haven't been told that we need to count those calories, adhere to diets, take those appetite suppressants, spend more time in the gym, increase those proteins and cut out those nasty carbohydrates, grow your own food organically, raise some grass fed cattle, milk your own cow, or perhaps if that is too tricky, become a vegan, take those vitamins and powders, and drink gallons of water, that is of course if it is purified, or distilled, or energised or alkalised or fresh from the Hunza region or whatever else the latest damn fad is. Oh, and don't forget, it is imperative that you don't stress out because stress will make you fat and sick too! Are you beginning to see the irony here?
Now it has occurred to me, and probably more than a few others as well, that if all of these things were on their own, or in combination, the definitive answer to our problems there wouldn't still be a 40% rate of obesity in America. Problems such as childhood diabetes that was never even heard of in times past, most certainly wouldn't be in almost epidemic proportions in the western world today, and chronic diseases that can, and all too often do, mean a death sentence for us would be a distant nightmarish memory. Am I right? Surely, we would simply follow the advice that is dished out to us so generously, and all would be well. Perhaps, now that we are all totally exhausted with the well meaning advice, we just might need to change focus. What are we overlooking that is a major contributing factor to us being fat and sick? Could it just possibly be that the state of the environment we live in could hold a major clue?
Toxic pollution we have created in our environment and continue to create in ever increasing amounts with our eyes blindly fixed on profit, is the sinister underlying reason why we are all suffering from various degrees of imbalance and ill health.
If you think our inner terrains are much different to the sadly toxic state of the environment we live in, then think again. We do after all live on this planet and rely on it's bounty for our very survival. Surely in order to reach the goal of vibrant good health and ideal weight we are, each and every one of us, going to have to clean house, so to speak.
Indeed, detoxification is absolutely crucial and fundamental to regaining and maintaining truly good health. The rest is surely then common sense when it comes to moderation, doing what makes you happy, putting into your body what is clean and natural to the best of your ability in the way of food and water. You wouldn't spring clean your house for example and then run through it with muddy boots would you? The body in its infinite wisdom would then have a chance to recover, come back into homeostasis and function in the way it was intended from the start. Perfectly balanced.
