Let’s face it: the best version of Tekken is Tekken 3. If ever you still have your PlayStation 1 laying around (a real gem), I am going to show you how to be the best at Tekken 3/kick ass on Tekken 3/destroy Tekken 3.
Yoshimitsu. Clearly, Yoshimitsu is not necessarily the strongest character but if you can
use him well he can be kick ass cool/he is the coolest/it’s the coolest way to play the game. He’s creative, skillfull and stuff. Although fighting games are repetitive, you can easily get over it with Yoshimitsu because of the diversity he adds/gives to the game. He is is simply a different, unexpected, too good to be true, unrealistic, once in a lifetime, funny, and perfect character. I might be biased but the game is very subjective anyway. Regardless, whenever you’re using Yoshimitsu, it’s like you are being the character in real life. It’s so realistic. It immerses you in the fighting culture. It gives you the energy as if you are really in the game in real life.
Number 1: Remember these moves.
You have to learn these four moves: <- <- box; <- <- box box; up triangle + box; and down O + X. Then, you have to learn how to move while you are in up triangle + box; if you want to move to the right, you have to press -> + up; otherwise, press <- + up. To get out of this position, press either <- and/or ->.
Before going to Number 2, make sure you got used to these moves already.
Number 2: How to use the moves. As much as possible, use <- <- box on your enemies. Just two successful attempts of this move and you got your enemy knocked out immediately. If you’re on hot water (your enemies got too close for a successful attempt of <- <- box), press box once again/more.
Regarding the up triangle + box; use this as a defense whenever you enemy attacks you on your lower body.
Lastly, down O + X. For some worst case scenarios where you are about to lose your life, this recharges your life during the game.
Number 3: If all else fails, use his kicks. Any of those. Either O, -> O, and/or the like (you get the picture).
