The human body is naturally engineered for activity. It is also built to be adaptive and survive no matter what. Humankind's ability to adapt is all around us. But this ability works both ways; your body will increase its capacity when it feels the need to do so and it will also decrease its capacity when it feels underused. This 憂eed' comes from the external environment your body gets.

Thus, if you have an active lifestyle, your body will be equally active and if you have an idle lifestyle, your body will reflect that with equal dexterity. But being active is like a state of inertia for the body, it's always ready to get back to it. When you make efforts for increasing you activity levels, your body will cooperate all the way. This is how it works with belly fat as well. Once you start off with reducing your weight and gaining a normal healthy appearance your body will be all too eager to embrace this change in lifestyle.

There are a few essentially basic but critical factors that can help in weight loss. Keeping them in consideration and making appropriate lifestyle changes can give you amazing results. These basics are;

1. Good Posture: this may not seem like the most amazing or complex piece of advice but you'll be surprised at how the little things in life make so much difference. Good posture makes sure the weight of the body falls in a balanced manner of the skeleton, thus giving you proper form. This proper form is not only critical for health, it's critical for appearance. Standing straight with your stomach tucked in keeps your abdominal muscles tight.

2. Quit Junk Food: you want to see yourself lose weight, quit junk food. ASAP. If nuclear wars don't end humanity, junk food will. They are high on all the wrong things and low on all the right things. They mercilessly add to our waistline as well as blood pressure, sugar level, cholesterol etc. if you want to snack, eat fruits and vegetables.

3. Exercise: exercise is important for losing fat, whether from the belly or anywhere else. Simple exercises like brisk walking or running are highly effective. You can even stay at home and do musical aerobics or climb stairs for 10-15 minutes. You'll see waoing changes in weeks. Try to make your exercise fun to do and something enjoyable. Try doing exercises with a friend or join a cycling society if you like company more than going solo.

4. Don't Aim for spot reduction: spot reduction, which means to lose weight from a certain area on the body, is not instantly possible. The day you start working on your belly fat is not the day you will start losing it. The body will burn fat from all over itself first before moving on to the belly. This tones your entire body. But if you try getting spot reduction instantly, you'll only have disappointment on your lot. Ne patient and give yourself time.
