2. Foundation Phase: this is a three week long phase. It builds on the vitamins and minerals you took in the detox phase and adds protein to your diet through lean meat.

3. Construction Phase: this is the four week long phase. It adds complex carbohydrates to your meals in addition to the fruits, vegetables and lean meats you're already taking. Complex carbohydrates include whole grains like brown rice, whole wheat spaghetti, whole wheat breads, whole grain cereals etc. you can also take limited portions of sweets in addition to the fruits.

4. Temple Phase: this phase will last the remainder of your life. You continue to eat all the foods from the previous stages and gradually add white starches like rice and potatoes in small amounts

Slip-ups: this diet plan accommodates and gives a back-up plan for when you slip up. Dr. Smith suggests that in the event of a lip up, you should go back to detox phase for a week and then get back to the phase you were originally at.

The book contains great advice on how to loose weight, myth busters, tips, etc. the book aims to teach you how your body works and how you can use this knowledge to loose weight and gain health.

1. You-turns. Human beings are not mistake-proof. This book acknowledges that and gives you advice on hoe to get back on track.
