This alone won't help as you can still have fat over the top which will create the muffin top, but it can help to firm up what is underneath. The good news too is that muscle gain and toning can be targeted, meaning that using sit ups and crunches. Some exercises and exercise classes are also good for losing weight and toning up at the same time and particularly target 'bums and tums'. For example something like yoga or Pilates.
