Let me share to you about my experience of weight loss through hypnosis. I've always been active as a youth; I started out playing soccer and then started playing tennis at age 8. Getting serious with the sport, I competed actively in the junior division till age 14. After which, I got into another sport, kick boxing. I became active in that and did my fair amount of sparring and on occasion, thanked by Instructor when there were small fights between my group and another's. I am pleased to say that though we never wanted to be in one of these skirmishes, we never lost one once we engaged. Such is the active youth I had during those days. College life somehow switched my activities from one of sport to one of drinking. The idea of being able to chug down a couple of brews appealed to me. More often than not, I was not able to exercise for months at a time. The pounds did catch up on me and by the end of my college years; I had gained around 50 pounds from my fighting weight.
Trying some diets was in fact trying. It did not have much appeal to me or perhaps I did not have the mind set to be faithful to such disciplined regiment which consisted of eating small sets of different food types, with less salt and less flavoring, this did not sit well to my palate. A friend of mine suggested trying weight loss through hypnosis. It sounded weird at first but then I realized that weight loss through hypnosis might be viable for my condition as I was too lazy or undisciplined to go on diet or follow a dietary plan for a week. Maybe it might work so I set off for an appointment to see a therapist who was recommended by a close friend.
The first meeting was cordial and the therapist asked me some questions and then we proceeded to talk about the goals and objectives that I wanted. I told him that if I could, I would try it to lower my voracious appetite for sweets and alcohol. Perhaps by limiting this, I could well be on my way to losing weight. And so the session started and he gave me a safe word to use whenever I was tempted to drink too much or eat too much sweets. A week later, as I attended a family gathering, I was put to the test. The temptation came, I used the safe word and you know what, it worked. I didn't feel too much of a craving for that item anymore. Weight loss through hypnosis is an option you might consider. It works for some but not all and in most cases; it does have a positive effect to your body and psyche.
