Do you want to get rid of your excess tummy fat? The excess baggage around our waists is a nightmare, but the majority of us suffer from this, but why is it really hard to get rid of it.
That brings me on nicely to how to reduce your tummy fat for good. My routine I thought was not bad at all, although I had been training for a number of years without any significant results. The fat around my waist was what was destroying me though, no matter what I did it just did not seem to go down. I love Rocky III and this gave me the inspiration to take up Boxing training, but I still could not shift the belly fat. I decided then it was time to sit down and scratch my head and start again.
My training really consisted off throwing some weights and shapes in the free weights room and running like a chicken with no head on the treadmill. The same as most people's routine I would say. Which is what I think most people do when they start at the gym. But something was still wrong. Okay so I really wanted to get rid of this tummy fat, so I decided to dig into my pockets and get a personal trainer. Well I was quite surprised to be honest. He got me to jump on the scales and overall I had reduced my weight. My body fat percentage was still exceptionally high.
The came the good news, he wanted me to train five days a week and having two days off. But this time for weights, I was carrying out primary and secondary exercises to really tire the muscles out. My cardio consisted of short bursts of exercise. Before I was jogging for twenty minutes or going on the cross trainer. This was exceptionally hard to do. For instance after a full session of weights I would then get on the rower. Row for 4 minutes, then he would turn the heat up and get me to do a 1000 metres as quickly as possible. I know that sounds really easy, but when you do it yourself it is really really hard.
Then I got straight onto the bike for six minutes. Then after the six minutes was up. It was time to step up the pace, doing fast sprints of seconds at a time, until I couldn't move my legs anymore. Well I can tell you I walked away from the gym every day with legs like jelly. I bet you have felt like this before too.
Well a few weeks later I jumped on the scales again and did a full fitness test. Well the fitness test went extremely well, I was doing more press ups and sit ups, but my body fat percentage had not gone down at all. I was happy that my overall weight had gone down, but I still wasn't happy.
It was a case of going back to the drawing board again. I got myself really down at this point though, which I guess is to be expected. It is really hard to get the motivation when you are not seeing results. I just felt like throwing in the towel to be honest, especially after all the money I had spent. My trainer who was an ex-army PT Officer said I needed to look at my diet and eating habits. My diet was one thing I was really happy with though, well at least I thought so. My main aim with my diet was to eat completely fresh cooked foods.
I did find that I really was not drinking enough fluids however. I absolutely love tea but he said I was drinking far too much of it seeing how I had a couple of sugars in every mug. Then it was time to switch to something healthy, loads of water and lots of chicken with fresh vegetables. Working my butt off I kept on training and guess what results I got this time? Hurrah at last my tummy fat had started to go down. I can't tell you how happy I was, I even thought I off giving him a hug for it. Possibly not the best of ideas however considering he was ex army. Therefore the overall morale to this story is. If you really want to achieve your goals, don't waste anytime doing it.
Just go and find an expert in that niche and ask them for advice. This will keep your money in your pocket and will ultimately stop the frustration. Then you will get to your goals quicker than the average person.
