I knew it was going to happen. My youngest daughter, Brenda, finally went off to college. It's mighty lonely over here.
As my husband was taking an afternoon nap, I decided to pretty myself up in the bathroom. For awhile, I couldn't conceive what I had become. I've been neglecting it for so long. Maybe now, it's time for an adjustment. I need to lose the weight and eat healthy.
How Did This Begin?
My name is Nancy. I was very active in high school. I played Basketball and Softball. Between work, school and practice, I was very active. It almost seemed like high school would go on forever.
But then, I fell in love. Joe was my high school sweetheart. We went from high school to marriage and then kids.
How Could A Housewife Be So Busy?
When it was over, we had four kids and a family. Between taking them to school, soccer practice, band practice and dance lessons, my day was busy. Add PTA and volunteering at the hospital, rounded out my 16-hour day.
I always seem to consume the wrong foods. Danish, hamburgers and pizza were quick and easy. I had no time to eat and no time to exercise.
But the years show the results. I had added one hundred pounds. I went from being healthy in high school to fat and Rolly Polly. As I stared in the mirror, I knew that it was time for a transformation. I need to lose the weight and eat healthy.
What Didn't Work?
My friend down the street sold me a liquid diet. Take the shake for breakfast and lunch, and then eat a good dinner. Even though you could do a lot with the shakes, liquid diets get old.
I lost twenty pounds on that diet. After awhile, I was hungry everyday for solid food. I finally had to give that one up.

Now, that I have time on my hands, I do not mind cooking my own dinner. I would like a meal plan, where I can cook my food and eat healthy for the week.
