In 25+ years of lifestyle coaching I have seen many people who have made small changes in their lifestyle that have made a huge difference. For most people the only reason you don't reach your goal is because there is something else that is more important to you. There is not a person who is reading this who could not make hundred thousand dollars in the next year if they were focused enough on their goal. I've had many people write out their goals for me. When they write their excuse for not achieving a short-term goal it is usually because they have lost their focus. Something else came up that at the moment seemed more important. I have had many people along the way have lost a lot of battles, but because they have endured they won their war.
In effective lifestyle coaching it is important to address the total being. We consume many things that affect our performance. It is a combination of physical, mental, emotional, social, and our spiritual values or beliefs that ultimately will determine your success. If you are truly serious about weight loss you need to realize that it will affect every aspect of your life. Many times, and unwillingness to address one limiting factor will prevent you from achieving your goal.
You made lifestyle changes to get where you are today. To achieve lasting success you will have to make corrective lifestyle changes to reach your goal. An old Chinese proverb says," The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step." That single set for you could be a lifestyle coach.
