The three most effective weight-loss remedies just happen to be free. That’s right, at no cost to you, you can immediately start using three of the safest and healthiest weight-loss methods available; and, best of all, none of them have any adverse side-effects, unpleasant tastes, or uncomfortable after-effects such as: Nervousness, Sleeplessness, Restlessness, Nausea, or any of the other common effects of weight-loss drugs.
The three most natural and effective means of weight loss and control are:
1. Water – staying properly hydrated
2. Air – breathing properly and adequately
3. Prayer – positive mindset, thought-patterns, and self-image
Staying properly hydrated helps you lose unwanted, excess weight in many ways. Water helps your cells flush themselves of toxins, and water is necessary for proper digestion, and other functions that keep your body healthy and clean. Staying properly hydrated would eliminate most of the average person’s health complaints, according to Dr. Batmanghelidj, in his book, “You’re Not Sick; You’re Thirsty: Your Body’s Many Cries for Water.” Drinking water also helps you feel “full,” or satisfied; most people mistake their body’s “thirst-signals” as hunger-signs – so they eat when they’re thirsty!
Breathing properly also does many things to help you eliminate unwanted fat and keep it off. To burn fat – or any other fuel – oxygen is required; the more oxygen you take in, the more fat you can burn. Also, breathing deeply and fully massages the digestive organs in the abdomen – encouraging, assisting, and facilitating proper digestion, assimilation, and elimination of food as it passes through your body. The more effectively you digest and eliminate your food experiences, the less food you will have available to convert to fat and hold-on to. Both breathing and hydration improve circulation and the removal of fat and toxins from the body.
The final element of natural weight-loss and management is prayer. I’m not talking about “The Lord’s Prayer,” or any other prayers people recite from memory; when I speak of prayer, I’m referring to your own inner-dialog with whatever Creative Force you speak to and give your hopes and wishes to. For many people, it’s, “Dear God…” But regardless of how you pray, or who you think or believe you’re praying to, ultimately, it’s the thought that counts. The feelings your thoughts generate are the true “attractive” force in prayer; and ALL thinking generates some sort of feeling, or emotional response. If your self-image is one of, self-loathing, self-hatred, self-pity, or some other form of thinking that comes from, or causes, low self-esteem, then your body will produce chemistry that perpetuates your reasons for feeling the way you feel.
To create a healthier, happier you, you must first conceive of this new person in your mind; then, you must set about learning how this new person thinks about his or herself, and how this person feels and behaves as a result of those thought-patterns. You must generate – in your mind – a new self-image; and this new you must be happy and smiling and looking and feeling as you will, not as you have in the past, or even now. If your thoughts are adequately focused and positive, you will be one of “those” people whose thoughts and attitudes – and feelings and actions – gradually change to reflect a healthier, more positive, self-image. Even if you starve yourself in order to burn off unwanted fat, I promise you those pounds are coming back with a vengeance if you do not experience some sort of shift in your own self-image. If you want to become a permanent success-story, you must create a permanent feeling of success, and not the feeling of a “loser” who lost a few pounds – again and again and…
You can lose weight quickly and permanently if you simply get yourself back into a normal rhythm of thinking “positive” thoughts versus constantly thinking about the stresses of the day and the world – or about how much you hate your body or your life. If you start by making a new declaration for yourself, and then just focus on doing the things you can do, and changing your negative thoughts as you notice them, you’ll soon see a different person in the mirror – one you love. But you’ve first got to love that person you see in the mirror – now. Love yourself enough to breathe deeply and fully, and drink enough water each day (I drink about 3-liters); and keep your thoughts on loving your happy and healthy self. Your body will soon catch up with your thoughts; just as it always has.
