Nutrition Is Key - Undertanding Weight Loss And Genunine Health

To illustrate the essential foundations of what makes us well, I am going start this section by explaining the basic concepts of achieving vibrant health and why good nutrition is vital for this process.

When you eat healthy food and drink healthy liquids for both nutrition and hydration, that food and liquid eventually gets broken down by your body and creates your blood. Your blood is the food that nourishes every part of your body. Healthy blood will provide both a sustaining and rebuilding meal for every part of your body that it reaches. Healthy blood will not only provide the nutrition your body needs, but it will also help carry away toxins and prevent disease in the process. Once you create healthy blood through nutrition, the next step is to create good circulation so your blood can reach every part of your body. Creating good circulation through exercise is an essential part of the formula for great health.

Introducing nutritious, healthy blood into every area of your body will allow your body to heal itself by providing the fuel it needs to function properly andremove waste. Every organ in our body must essentially do three thingsto work properly:

1. Receive good nutrition through healthy blood,

2. Use that nutrition to perform specific metabolic processes,

3. Eliminate waste and toxins created by those metabolic processes and other external toxins.

When we eat food that is lacking in nutrients, our blood fails to provide a complete meal for our body. This prevents it from performing its necessary metabolic processes, and impedes its ability to remove waste. As a result, we can become run-down and more susceptible to sickness.

In the last decade, we have made incredible advances in learning about the complex benefits of nutrition. However, the truth remains that westill do not understand a great deal about certain compounds and how they work in our bodies when ingested. In fact, I would estimate that there is a great deal of information we don’t know about nutrition and how it works in our system. Even though we may not fully understand every complex interaction of every compound, vitamin, phytochemical, or mineral, we do know one thing; natural, whole foods contain more disease-fighting compounds and beneficial healing properties than we ever imagined. Logically speaking, why wouldn’t they? Why wouldn’t God have designed natural foods to contain everything our bodies need to stay healthy and strong?

Instead of understanding and embracing that logic, we have tried to manipulate and change what God has provided for us in nature. As a result, our system’s now have to deal with a food source they have no history of dealing with.

I believe the consumption of synthetic foods and man-made vitamins is preventing us from obtaining the proper nutrition we need to be our healthiest. In this section, I am NOT going to give you a complex, scientific overview on the basics of nutrition because that information is readily available in hundreds of textbooks, as well as on the Internet. Instead, I am going to provide you with practical ideas and information that you are usually not exposed to; information that will help explain how popular dietary habits may be making us unhealthy. The facts are simple. Over the last decade, thousands of new supplements, diet fads and food products have been introduced to the marketplace, such as; fat-burners, fat-blockers, cortisol-blockers, sugar-free cookies, fat-free potato chips, high-protein diets, high-fat diets, low-carb diets, etc. Today, more people use diet products and eat more diet foods than at any other time in history, and yet we are fatter than at any other time in history. Man, history needs to change! With all these “amazing” new products and “ revolutionary” diet systems flooding the marketplace, don’t you find it odd that America is still getting fatter and fatter? The obesity rate in America is climbing out of control, and obesity among children is rising at an alarming rate. The reason is a complex mixture of many variables, but one thing is for sure; most of these “revolutionary” diet products and diet fads do not work. Even if some diet fads create temporary results, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are improving your health. Cocaine, heroin and crystal-meth will help you lose weight and look lean, but they won’t make you healthy, improve the quality of your life, or make you live longer. In fact, they will do just the opposite; they will destroy your body from the inside out, and rob you of the life God intended for you. On the other hand, while not being specifically toxic in origin, quick-fix diets that severely restrict your intake of required nutrients will NOT make you healthy either.

There is a big difference between being healthy and being thin. Your body and therefore your health demand a minimum variety of six basic nutrients, which include:water, protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and mineralsEating a wide range of natural foods is the best way to help you fight off disease, feel great, and look your best. Now, isn’t that what you are truly looking for?The truth is that food can be either medicine or poison, andonce you learn which is which only you can make the decisionto eat healthy foods that will both fortify and heal your body orharmful foods that will destroy it.
