You will also lose muscles because muscle is heavier than fat; the less weight the less energy your body uses.
2) Diet pills. When your heart rate increases, so does your metabolism rate. Your resting metabolic rate is affected by your heart rate. Resting metabolic rate is the rate where the body burns calories througout the day to keep it going. Diet pills contain alot of caffeine, ephedra or guarana. These ingredients increase your heart rate and thus increases your metabolism rate. However, these pills may cause health complications in the future such as high blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, addiction or even death.
Therefore, exercise and have a balanced diet is the only right way to go. Do remember though, to lose weight, your focus is not to increase your metabolism rate. Your focus is to try to change your lifestyle slowly to a healthier one.
