Trying to get your lower abdominals to show can be a real pain. Not only is this part of your abs fairly difficult to target, it is also usually the last place that most people lose stomach fat. I don't know about you, but it is much easier for me to get my upper abs to show than my lower abs.

The most important thing to remember about getting six pack abs is that you need to burn off ALL the fat on your abdominals to really get them to show. To really get your lower abs to pop out you're probably going to need to be at about 8-10% body fat. And you probably already know that in order to shed unwanted body fat, you shouldn't be focusing on working your ab muscles. Eating naturally occuring foods and lifting weights are the quickest way to get rid of that unwanted stomach fat.
But after you get your body fat down and want a little extra definition you may want to focus on some ab exercises that stress the lower part of your abs the most. While there are many resources that talk about the hundreds of ab exercises there are out there, what you'll want to focus on most are ab moves that have you moving your legs more than anything. A basic rule is that when you move your upper body it works your upper abs, and when you move your legs you work lower abs.
So focus on exercises like hanging leg/knee raises, lying leg thrusts, reverse crunches and the like where you're moving your legs more than anything.
