Lose 30 Pounds in 14 Days

There is a new diet out that should really shake things up. People claim to lose as much as 30 pounds in 14 days. Apparently eating the right combination of food inhibits the hypothalamic response to hunger cravings so you are not hungry. At the same time, the increase in energy metabolism via glycolysis and ATP production burns fat at an accelerated rate. The diet consists of eating eggs and grapefruit for breakfast while consuming eggplant and steak at night. You only eat twice a day and meditate about eating four times per day.

Ok, did you think I was serious for at least part of that? I made up every word. None of it is true.

Why is it we are always looking for the next diet? Our problem is not that we don't have enough diets. Execution of those diets is the problem. You can pick the diet, and as long as it is reasonable, if you stick to it, you will probably lose weight. It is the sticking to it part we seem to have trouble with. Why do you think that is?

Here's why. You haven't designed and created your health plan for life. You need to decide what is important to you and how you will achieve it. You have to do exactly what everyone else did to be healthy, and that is choose to be healthy and then come up with a plan to do so. More importantly you need to stick to that promise. Areas of your plan should include diet, supplements, exercise, sleep, mind, and spirit.

I challenge you to create your own health plan for life. Take some time and just think about where you are health wise and where you want go.
