1. Don’t be very restrictive: The first and foremost reason because of which most people get demoralized in their attempt to lose weight is strictness. Don’t be very strict in your diet and promise not to eat any junk food or your favorite treats. There are times when you want to have a chocolate or two. Allow yourself to do so but only once in a while to get to your goal that is attaining quick weight loss.
2. Keep a check on your calorie count: You need to be careful about the amount of calories you are consuming. This can be done by calculating the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). You will as a result understand the calories you should intake and be able to lose weight faster. Check the amount of calories you are consuming with every meal and keep it lesser than your BMR.
3. Eat small portions: The size of every meal you eat should be small but the number or frequency should be increased. You should eat about 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day and shorter time intervals.
4. Do not miss out any meal: Eat all your regular meals is important. Don’t think that you can miss lunch and save on the calories. Eating at regular intervals will help maintain your blood sugar level.
5. Fruits and vegetables are important: There are times during the day when you will feel hungry but not know what to eat. While watching television, pick up a bowl of grapes instead of a bag of chips. They contain lesser amount of calories and give you the feeling of being full faster.
6. Write down your improvements: One more way to get your desired weight loss quick and that is to keep a journal to record what changes you have made in your eating pattern and record the improvements you have made. This will make it easier for you to know what is helping you and what is working against you.
