The first step is to get your nutrition in check. The first thought is to starve yourself, but in fact, that will do the opposite. Sure you’ll lose a few quick pounds, but your body will start realizing the lack of food and then start storing any food you do eat and holding onto any fat that you do have, which will halt your weight loss. You still need to eat, you just need to have control over your portions, and count your calories each day to make sure that you are not eating too much.
You also need to exercise in order to get that hot bikini body you are craving. No, not just a yoga class, pilates class, or running on a treadmill or elliptical for a long time. You’ll need to have some sort of resistance training in your workouts. Using weights is a great way to do that. If you focus on smaller (but still challenging) weights, and higher reps with each weight, then you won’t become big and bulky. You’ll get nice and toned, and that extra lean muscle mass will help you to burn the fat quicker.
Follow these steps, and you’ll have that great bikini body when you do hit the beach this summer!
