DIY Solar Panels - 5 Must Haves -

So you are thinking of doing a project, a do it yourself, dont know what Im getting into project. For me when I started my DIY solar panel project, I was used to building things with my hands and even I found building solar panels very difficult without the proper instruction. But when you are able to finally assemble your solar panels, and actually see the results all the time and effort you put into your project will be worth it.

I can tell you that from my windmills and solar panel projects I am now 100% living off the grid, and in fact I got my first check from the electric company the other day. There are a few things that you need to consider before putting solar panels in your house. Depending on what route you take, some initial investments can be rather large so you need to calculate how long it will take for you to get back your investment. There are guides out on the internet available that teach you how to build DIY solar panels for very cheap.

1.)Make sure you have enough room on your roof
2.)Make sure your roof gets ad least 6 hours of direct sun light
3.)Do not place near trees, solar panels get damaged easily ( falling debris )
4.)Set aside 1-2 days for installation
5.)Try and install the solar panels near the place where you will be running the wiring inside

Those are some of the things that you need to consider, here are some things youll need.

-A guide, these are readily available on the net

-Some simple tools and a clean work place

-Make sure the guide is tested, and easy to follow

Some guides are complicated and end up taking to much of your time and money. Now that you know what you need, you either need to go to a solar panel retailer, or use one of the online guides and find out where you can get the solar panels for cheap. Just an example I prices out a entire solar panel system, and for me to generate all my electricity it would have cost me over 10 thousand dollars. I was not willing to make that investment so I choose to do something else, go a cheaper route on my diy solar panel project. Just remember that this is a project and it will take some time but the pay offs are very nice.
