This has been the most common way to lose unwanted fat in the body in a short period of time. However, those who follow these methods, fail to understand, what a huge health risk they are taking, by being ignorant about their metabolism.
When you are overweight, there is an obsessive urge to lose weight fast, to feel confident, and to look good. This obsession, however, leads to anemia, deficiencies of essential nutrients, and other health problems. The best way to lose weight is to regulate your eating habits, eat healthy foods, and exercise regularly.
Weight gain can be instantly seen on the stomach, waist, thighs, and hips. However, it is not always necessary to lose this fat with the help of restrictive diets and over exercising. Weight around these areas can also be shed in a healthy way.
Ways to Lose Body Fat
Various crash diets which commit to help you lose weight in a short period of time, never usually result in anything healthy. It is not wrong to follow weight loss diets for a short period of time, but being obsessed with them is a complete waste of time and energy. Here are a few exercises which are healthy for particular problem areas of the body, along with suitable diet plans.
Around the Waist
Include lots of fruits and fresh green vegetables in your daily diet. Drink at least 3 liters of water everyday, and walk as much as you can. The 'vacuum pose' is very helpful for shedding weight from this area. For this exercise, inhale as much air as you can, by sucking in the lower belly area. Hold your breath in this position for about 15 to 20 seconds. Exhale, and then repeat it for about 5 minutes. Do this exercise once a day. Doing 2 sets of crunches and, few cardiovascular exercises everyday can also be very effective in losing belly flab.
Around the Thighs
A couple of thigh exercises along with a running routine helps in losing fat around the thighs. However, you must remember that you need energy for these exercises, and that weight loss alone, is not the way out. Make sure you eat a balanced diet in required amounts, and then concentrate on exercising. Squatting, rope skipping, climbing, etc., are some of the activities which help.
Around the Hips
Who wouldn't want to have curvy hips? In order to have well-toned hips, you should eat healthy, give up junk food, drink plenty of water, and workout regularly. Exercises like ball workouts, lunges, crunches, pull ups, running, and cardio exercises help a lot.
Along with these exercises, it is very important to follow a healthy, well-balanced diet. Make sure you consult a dietitian before following any weight loss program.
