Weight Loss After Pregnancy Simple Tips For All Mothers

When you are pregnant, your most important concern is to have a beautiful bouncing healthy baby. You are happy to eat all those wonderful foods and delight in the fact that no one thinks twice when you inhale an entire cheese steak sandwich. ?She's eating for two,? they all say.

40 weeks of eating for two eventually takes it toll. You don't really realize how your body has morphed until the beautiful baby is born. Of course, your baby is worth every extra pound that you gained but a happy mother makes a happy baby.

Getting rid of those extra pregnancy pounds can be challenging since you are taking care of a new born. Exercising seems like an impossible task between the feedings, diaper changes, visits from family and friends, phone calls, laundry, etc ? but it can be done.

You've wondered how the celebrities do it ? don't. They have an enormous amount of resources available to them that allows them to have more free time than you. The comparison is not an apples to apples comparison.

Here are a few tips for those of us, who live in the real world and have to do our chores ourselves:

Breastfeeding. If you can breast feed - do it. It's a great way to take off the extra pounds and a fantastic way to bond with your baby. It is estimated that a breastfeeding mother burns an extra 500 calories per day. That's 3500 calories ? one pound per week. It is not advisable to starve yourself, while you are breastfeeding since your body needs the extra calories to produce nourishment for your baby. Take advantage of the extra 500 calories by eating healthy foods and you should see a noticeable difference in your weight.

Pacing. Carry your baby and pace around the house, whenever you can. Most babies are curious so this is also a great way to show them around the house. You can get a good 15 ? 30 extra walking time from this exercise and it won't feel like the dreaded exercise routine.

Walks. If you are lucky enough to have your baby when the weather is nice then you should take advantage of it. Taking a walk around the neighborhood is a good way for the baby to get some fresh air and for you to get out of the house and interact with other people. Other places to enjoy a nice stroll are local parks and malls.

Eating Time. Avoid eating too late in the evening. If you are breastfeeding, you will need adequate nutrition throughout the day however you can ensure that you eat fruits and vegetables, if you get hungry late at night. If you are not breastfeeding, avoid eating after 8pm as you are about to go to sleep and will not be burning as much energy as you do during the day.

Following these simple tips will make you a fit, healthy mommy and baby will thank you for it.
