Spring is almost upon us and before you know it summer will be here. After all that winter eating the last thing you want to do is sit on the beach feeling uncomfortable. Did you know that there was a time in the world when the notion of loosing weight was non existent? In those days people engaged in a lot more physical activity. Today we lead more sedentary lifestyles. We drive to work, we sit at our desks for eight hours after which time we drive home, watch tv and got to bed.
Today we have the million dollar weight loss industry. There are hundreds of supplements sold daily to help people loose weight. There are also all sorts of gadgets. My favorite one was the exercise belt that vibrated around your tummy. This was great; you could loose weight while sitting and watching tv. !What a concept!
Here are some simple tips to help you loose weight. Firstly learn about food. Learn about what you like. Learn your tastes. Experiment with a variety of food types. Loosing weight is not a chore however it can be an education.
Drink more water; preferably drink it before you eat. Introduce more greens into your diet. Try and eat fruit first before other foods. A smoothie in the morning can work wonders. Try and introduce more raw vegetables into your weekly menu. Do some research on food and play with different types to see what you like.
Based on your observations create a menu for each week of the month. This way you vary your food throughout the month and then just rotate for the following month. Always be on the look out for new variations and tastes to introduce to your monthly diet. You do not have to starve yourself. What you need to do is eat more of the right foods. Substitute the poor quality foods with better quality foods. Do not force your self to eat foods that you do not like in order to loose weight. There are plenty of food types. There is bound to be ones that you like. All you have to is find them.
Like anything else. This will only work if you want it to. Second to that you can learn all about food. Make it fun. Make it an adventure. Turn it around to be what you want it to be. By doing this you will loose weight and be happy.
