Obesity has become a concern for modern society. Whether it is in the western world or in our east, problem of obesity and associated problem from it is spreading like wild fire. Doctors, Scientists, and Sociologists are giving cautions now and then to look into the problems.

Basic cause of obesity ? apart from being genetic- is that people, who can afford, always eat heavily more than their requirements. This results in accumulation of excess fats in the body.

Physicians and dieticians always alert us to keep our body weight in control and many charts have been prepared for diet of a healthy person to keep him healthy and control of body weight.

However, unfortunately still we find innumerous people with overweight roaming in the society causing eye sore to the next person in the street and above all inconvenience to the self.

In view of above, conscious people among the overweight sincerely want to reduce their body weight particularly their waistline.

Here are some easy tips to reduce extra body weight. However, it should be kept in mind that there is no shortcut method to lose body weight in very short time. Trying to reduce body weight in short period by not taking sufficient food / starvation may endanger life and invite many more diseases to suffer.


a) To have a balance and adequate diet every day. Take as much as low calorie, high carbohydrate and leafy vegetable food. Avoid oily foods like butter etc. Avoid red meat if you are above forty

b) Eating balanced and sufficient nutritious and controlled food will gradually reduce excess fat in the body.

c) Minimum / No smoking and drinking. Some study promoted by the manufacturing companies may tell reverse. But better to avoid them, as there is no evidence at least of their positive effects. Conversely it accumulates unwanted fat in the body.

d) Reducing / completely leaving consumption of Protein food particularly animal protein.

e) Increasing consumption of leafy vegetables and low calorie foods rich with carbohydrates.

f) Regular walking and or jogging and other type of exercises. Going to Gym everyday is a plus point. The result will be miraculous.

g) Thinking good for self and for others and society at large.

h) To be cheerful always. Study had shown that a cheerful person has longer and healthier span of life. Seeing a cheerful doctor ? patient becomes half cured

i) Taking FDA approved diet pills like Phentermine, Adipex etc which are highly effectual in deducing weight.


Please keep in mind that a person is beautiful if he has a healthy body with developed and disease free normal one with a strong mind. Just follow the above tips and you will find yourself in good health by reducing body weight.
