When someone speaks of hypnosis, there are a few ideas that will come to mind right off hand. These ideas are usually the farthest from the truth. Mainstream hypnosis is often seen as a magician performing magic tricks or a crazy doctor putting someone under a spell. These ideas are both ridiculous and do not portray the real aspects of hypnosis.
In reality, the subconscious brain and hypnosis is powerful and has life altering aspects. It has become well known to many and is more readily used. The use of hypnosis is seen on many fronts including: smoking, pain, phobias, depression, anxiety and more. In actuality, the limit to the subconscious brain and hypnosis is unlimited. It is only limited to the part of the subconscious you can unlock.
Working With the Subconscious Brain and Hypnosis
The idea of the subconscious brain and hypnosis usage relies on the mind taking control of the body. As you have heard in the past, the mind is a powerful tool. When hypnosis is used, you can see that for yourself first hand.
There are many forms of hypnosis that deals with your subconscious mind. Similarly, there are many ways to do it. The most common form of hypnosis involves self induced hypnosis. This is where you partake in hypnosis on your own. By doing this, you are allowing your mind to be opened up and take control.
Many people use this form of hypnosis as a pain control. It works so well that many hospitals are often using this approach with patients who have cancer or any other form of terminal illness.
Other use for the subconscious brain and hypnosis is when we want to create a change in our lives. These changes are often the changes that we feel are very hard to overcome. Such a change would be weight loss. To lose weight and keep it off effectively, a person needs to have a healthy diet along with an exercise regimen. Unfortunately, many people do not achieve this because it takes a completely different mind change than they are used to. It also requires a lot of motivation.
This is where Neuro Linguistic Programming comes in, or NLP. This allows your subconscious mind to attach different feelings and responses to certain foods or situations. For instance, every time you see a piece of chocolate cake, for instance, you can create a full feeling in your stomach. The more you do that, the more you are re-training your mind not to want chocolate cake. Each time you see chocolate cake, you will feel full, and therefore not eat it.
Although that is a simple example, the concept still remains the same. Utilizing the subconscious brain and hypnosis can unlock many attributes of yourself that you did not know existed. It also allows you to make changes in your life that you do not have the motivation to do otherwise. All around, even in the medical field, using the subconscious brain and hypnosis technique has become widely accepted.
