If you're going to win your struggle to lose surplus weight, you need to take on those crummy habits that have formed over the years. Like most people, you've probably tried to lose the weight repeatedly, and sometimes you were successful, but soon enough, the weight always came back on. This constant weight battle is widespread, because it's really difficult to permanently lose a lot of weight.
With our modern lifestyle, it's easy to see why we've grown paunchier as a society. I'm sure you've noticed it every time you step on the scale and it shows that you've gained more weight.
I know you want to win your battle of the bulge, but you need some good information to help you get over the hump and keep moving towards a healthier mind and body.
Tip #1: Eat, Don't Starve - You're misguided if you think that skipping meals will make you skinny. The truth is, you'll retain calories and fat when you don't eat a meal. You see, when your body doesn't get enough calories, it will go into starvation mode, just like it did when we had to hunt and gather our food. Back then, our bodies needed to store enough energy to get us through the day.
Tip #2: Forget Super Sizing - Fast food restaurants are well-known for offering you their super size meal deal. Reject this temptation if you can!
Tip #3: Eat Without Distractions - Instead of reading a magazine or watching a TV show, sit down at the kitchen table and eat your meal without the usual distractions. This is hard to do because you're probably used to watching a favorite show while eating. While you're on a diet, those distractions could be causing you to add unwanted calories and fat to your waistline without you even realizing it. Losing the distractions means you'll be more aware of what you're eating.
Tip #4: Close the Kitchen - Pretend you're running a restaurant and close down your kitchen for the night. This means you won't be coming back in there for a midnight snack.
Tip #5: Exercise With Your Mp3 Player - An Mp3 player and your beloved tunes or audio book can be a great companion for any exercise activity. Grab your Mp3 player and go out for a walk or get on the treadmill, exercise bike or any workout equipment you have at home. This extra amusement will help keep you motivated to complete your workout.
Tip #6: Eat Yogurt for Energy - Many times when you need an energy boost, the first thing you think to snap up is a candy bar. Next time, grab an 8oz container of yogurt instead. Yogurt contains a lot of vitamins and nutrients that your body loves. A candy bar only offers a quick sugar rush, but yogurt will provide you with a more satisfying energy boost that will last much longer.
Tip #7: Get Email Counseling - A recent study at Brown Unviersity indicated that dieters who sought out the help of online counselors had more weight loss success than those who dieted without support.
